Surviving Homelessness

The causes of homelessness are varied and complex. In most cases mental wellbeing of homeless individuals is adversely affected, leading to loss of confidence, anxiety, depression, and more serious mental health conditions.

A key component for the wellbeing of homeless people is to establish confidence and good mental health so they can take the necessary steps to rebuild their lives. Although experienced workers in homeless services may be aware of some of the mental health issues faced by homeless people, many new workers and volunteers may not.

This DVD/video can be used as a training resource for new staff and volunteers.

Raising greater awareness of mental wellbeing for homeless people is a crucial factor in helping homeless people to rebuild their lives.
